Tax Break

If your business has a turnover of less than $2 million per annum and you purchase a newnewable energy system before 31 December 2009, your business can claim a tax deduction of 50% for the cost of the system. A 10% tax deduction is available to businesses with a turnover of more than $2 million for purchases placed before 31 December 2009. link

BONUS RECs

The new Federal Government Solar Credits scheme allows businesses, households and community groups that install eligible small-scale solar photovoltaic, wind and hydro electricity systems from 9 June 2009, and have not already received a rebate, to receive Solar Credits. link

INCOME FROM GRID FEED

The NSW Government Solar Bonus Scheme commences 1 January 2010. This scheme offers owners of eligible solar PV systems 60 cents per kilowatt hour (c/kWh) for the renewable energy they feed into the national electricity grid.. link
