UniSolar System Limeburners Creek

The owners of this system were reluctant to remove surrounding trees which provide shade and a nice view for their property. This means that some of the panels are in shade for some part of the day.

As such, we opted for an array of 16 x UniSolar US64 amorphous solar modules which, with their partial shade tolerance, will provide sufficent daily power for the household.

 

The balance of system components include:

• a Latronics LS1524 1500W pure sine wave inverter
• a Plasmatronics PL series solar regulator complete with shunt set-up to allow metering of the high DC currents to the inverter
• a Century Yuasa Enersun deep cycle battery bank
• a Christie 24VDC 45A Honda powered battery charger
• a low power consumption Waeco AUS220RF upright fridge/freezer
