Solar Wind Hybrid System Vacy

This 2kW solar wind hybrid system installed at Vacy in the Hunter Valley NSW features a Bergey 1kW wind turbine on a 13m tower and a 1kW roof mounted solar array consisting of six (6) BP Solar 170W monocrystalline solar panels.

The balance of system components include:

• a Xantrex PS2524E 2500W pure sine wave inverter charger
• a Plasmatronics PL series solar regulator complete with shunts to allow metering of the high DC currents from the turbine and to the inverter
• an Exide EnergyStore deep cycle battery bank
• a Johnson 24VDC 38L/min pressure pump system
