This 48V 2kW remote solar power system, which we installed in early 2001, incorporates 24 x Solarex 85W solar panels with a Plasmatronics regulator and 3000W Latronics pure sine wave inverter.

A Woods Dialomatic battery charger allows the deep cycle battery bank to be topped up by a portable generator.

The system was installed while the house was undergoing renovations and additions.
